The Wrongdoer Will Bite on His Hands

Added by on 17/03/2020

Beware of the day the wrongdoer will bite on his hands; befriend those who are the best among people and break away from bad friends who will bring you down

The day the wrongdoer will bite on his hands

Life, in the shade of the Islamic Creed, has taught me

that your friend takes you wherever he goes and that both of you are very similar

And people are like birds; doves flock together, ravens flock together, and it’s the same with chicken, eagles, and falcons …each with its flock-mates

And birds of feather flock together

And a friend follows his friend’s religion

So, avoid bad friends as if they were lions!

They are like contagious infectious diseases. If you befriend and follow them, they will lead you to Hellfire

And before Allah, they will be an enemy to you

“Friends on that day will be enemies to each other, except for the righteous.” (Al-Zukhruf 43:67)

Oh, Woe to Me!

This is `Uqbah ibn Abu Mu`ayt who lived in Makkah together with the Prophet (peace be upon him), he never caused trouble to him.

though `Uqbah was an unbeliever, while the rest of Quraysh, whenever they saw the Prophet, they hurt him

And there was an unbeliever friend to `Uqbah ibn Abu Mu`ayt who was abroad in Ash-Sham

They thought, because of his good treatment to the Prophet, that `Uqbah has converted to Islam

When his friend came back from Ash-Sham, he said to him, “Here’s your friend ibn Abu Mu`ayt has become Muslim!

He flew into a rage, refusing to talk to `Uqbah

or greet him until he hurts the Prophet (peace be upon him)

`Uqbah agreed and already hurt the Prophet (peace be upon him)

He once tried to strangle him with his own clothes

At another time, he spat on his honorable face, to become – at this moment- the meanest, most despicable person on the planet

And his end was he was one of the idolaters who were killed at Badr

About him and his likes, Allah revealed:

“The Day that the wrong-doer will bite at his hands, he will say, “Oh! would that I had taken a path with the Messenger! Oh, woe to me! I wish I had not taken that one as a friend. He did lead me astray from the Message (of Allah) after it had come to me! Ah! the Satan is but a traitor to man!” (Al-Furqan 25:27-29)

Better be alone than to join a bad company. They are like contagious infectious diseases

Befriend those who are the best among people and break away from bad friends that will bring you down

If you really want to get to know someone, find out who their friends are. Your friend guides you in his direction, whether it is right or wrong

Sitting next to an infected person, even if you are healthy, you are more likely to get the infection

You are valued according to your friend, so choose the good one for you will be honored and have a good reputation
