Does Islam Justify Violence?

Added by on 30/12/2023

Doesn’t the Qur’an talk about fighting, killing disbelievers? What does this mean? Isn’t this wrong-doing? Why then does Islam promote it? Nouman Ali Khan answers here...

Our religion, Islam, does not allow killing any innocent person regardless of his or her religion. The life of all human beings is sacrosanct according to the teachings of the Qur’an and the guidance of our blessed Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

As for the verses that talk about killing and fighting, it is important that we study these texts in their proper context. When these texts are not read in their proper textual and historical contexts they are manipulated and distorted.

This video by Nouman Ali Khan tackles all these issues here in a very simple clear-cut way. Enjoy watching it to know the truth about the issues of killing, fighting, terrorism, violence and Jihad in Islam. Indeed these concepts have been subject to great misinterpretation and misrepresentation which gave a dark image of Islam to non-Muslims.
