The Healing of Sufferings

The healing of sufferings…

Life, in the shade of the Islamic Creed, has taught me that the healing of sufferings is the belief in fate and destiny.

And how wonderful is the case of a believer; there is good for him in everything.

If prosperity attends him, he expresses gratitude to Allah and that is good for him.

And if adversity befalls him, he endures it patiently and that is better for him.

He has already known that what struck him would not have missed him.

And He knows that what missed him would not have struck him.

He knows that if the nation were to gather together to benefit him with anything.

They would not benefit him except with what Allah had already prescribed for him.

And if they were to gather together to harm him with anything,

They would not harm him except with what Allah had already prescribed against him.

He is satisfied and hence Allah will be pleased with him, and feels happy in his present life and next life.

And his heart feels tranquil and the soul feels at ease. So, he lives happily.

In the great Day of Judgment when Allah addresses people,

while they are disturbed with the situations of the Day of Reckoning,

He Almighty says to certain people amongst the entire creatures,

“Enter Paradise without being brought to account.”

They say, O our Lord and Protector! You have hold people for account and left us?

Then Allah replies, “I have brought you to account in the worldly life.

By my Glory and Honor I swear that I do not grant you two calamities. Enter Paradise!

The People on the Day of Reckoning wish that their skins had been cut off with scissors to get like the people of pleasure.

In the authentic hadith and the divine tradition, Allah Almighty says,

“Allah, the Exalted, says: ‘I have no reward except Jannah

for a believing slave of Mine who shows patience and anticipates My reward when I take away his favorite one from the inhabitants of the world.”‘

And what a reward which no eye has seen, no ear has heard and no human heart has ever perceived.

In the authentic hadith and the divine tradition, Almighty says to His angles,

“Have you taken out the life of the son of My slave? Have you taken the fruit of his heart?”

And He, the Exalted, knows.

The Angels reply in the affirmative. He then asks, What did My slave say?

And He, the Exalted, knows.

They reply: “He praised you and mentioned that to You is the return.” So Allah says: “Build a house in Paradise for My slave, and name it ‘the house of praise.'”

“And give good tidings to the patient, Who, when disaster strikes them, say, “Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.” (Al-Baqarah 2:156)

And be satisfied if destiny talks,

And do not panic from the incidents of nights… Incidents of life never last forever,

And he who death falls into his yard… Has no land to protect him or a sky,

Once they passed by Harun Ibn Yazid (may Allah have mercy on him) after turning blind.

He had beautiful eyes rarely one could have such eyes at that time,

They said to him and he was blind,

What happened to the two beautiful eyes, son of Harun?

My Dawn crying prayers turned me blind.

Belief in fate and destiny is a blessing for humanity,

and a source of healing, tranquility, peace, and calmness.

It is also a protection from evils, a source of work motivation, and a reason for patience and satisfaction.

Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet

You were patient and whoever is patient

will enter paradise without being brought to account.

Do your best to seek what will benefit you and be satisfied with what Allah has destined for you.

Seek the help of Allah and do not feel helpless.

If anything afflicts you, do not say ‘If I had done such and such things, such and such would have happened.’

But say, ‘Allah decrees and what He wills He does.’

‘I Wish’ and ‘If Only’ never bring back what you missed.
