What Is the Relation between Terrorism and Islam?

Dr. Waleed Basyouni clarifies that the statement "all Muslims not terrorists but all terrorists are Muslims" is untrue because there is a lot of extreme groups who are not Muslims.

In this episode by the DeenShow, Dr. Waleed Basyouni, the well-known scholar who holds a PHD in theology from  Al-Imam Muhammad University, KSA, sheds light on the terms of terrorism, Jihad and violence and their relation with Islam. Dr. Waleed stresses that the Prophet (peace be upon him) many times warned his companions from extremism, in all actions and attitudes.

He adds that there is a picture being drawn in the media about Islam and Muslims which include a great deal of exaggeration. He states that the statement “all Muslims not terrorists but all terrorists are Muslims” is untrue because there is a lot of extreme groups who are not Muslims.
